The scholarship amounts are as follows:
A total of 180 students in management, 160 in engineering, and 100 in law programs will undergo evaluation based on the information provided in their application forms. Selection for the next round will be determined by assessing the students' overall achievements, which include both academic and co-curricular excellence.
Essays written by these students will undergo review by a panel to shortlist candidates for the final round. The shortlisted students will then be invited for an interview, during which the top 16 students from engineering and management streams and 15 from law colleges will be designated as Aditya Birla Scholars. These interviews will be conducted by a distinguished panel of luminaries and academicians. Shortlisted candidates are required to bring supporting documents, such as certificates and mark sheets.
The interviews will take place in Mumbai, and the shortlisted candidates will receive accommodation, travel reimbursement, and a token allowance.
Regarding the renewal of the scholarship, Aditya Birla Scholars will undergo assessment on qualitative and quantitative parameters to evaluate their excellence in academics and leadership. This assessment will determine the ongoing disbursement of the scholarship and the honor of remaining an 'Aditya Birla Scholar' throughout the course, with evaluations conducted annually.
The assessment criteria include meeting certain scholastic standards, having at least 60% of assignments rated 7 on a 9-point scale, participating in a minimum of two campus forums, and submitting a 250-word write-up on the experience of being an Aditya Birla Scholar. Scholars are required to submit data for performance measurement, certified by the Academic Dean at the institute. The assessment will consider overall performance in all areas, with no single factor serving as a major determinant.
Eligible students must complete the application form and submit it to the Dean. The Dean will then forward all 20 forms to our office.
Selected candidates will receive invitations for an interview, during which the top 16 students from engineering and management streams and 15 from law colleges will be identified as Aditya Birla Scholars. Distinguished professionals and academicians will conduct these interviews. Shortlisted students are required to bring all supporting documents, including copies of certificates and mark sheets.
The evaluation of the Aditya Birla Scholar will be based on both qualitative and quantitative criteria to assess their excellence in academics and leadership. This assessment will play a crucial role in deciding the ongoing disbursement of the Scholarship amount and the privilege of remaining an 'Aditya Birla Scholar.' The assessment will occur annually throughout the duration of the course.
The Scholars' performance will undergo close monitoring for the annual renewal of the Scholarship. The Deans/Directors of IIMs, XLRI, IITs, BITS (Pilani), and Law Campuses have collectively consented to manage the funds. The Scholarship amount will be transferred directly to the institute's designated bank account via bank transfer.
These Scholarships remain valid for the duration of the course, contingent upon sustained performance. Given that the Scholarship is announced in September and students would have already paid their fees, the institute will reimburse the amount previously paid.
To be eligible for the Aditya Birla Capital Scholarship 2023-24, applicants must have achieved a minimum of 60% marks in their preceding academic year.
