About AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girls

The Pragati Scholarship Scheme is an initiative released by the Government of India to encourage female university students to pursue technical training. This scholarship is designed to help female university students from economically weaker societal sections enrolled in technical degree packages such as engineering, era, architecture, and pharmacy guides.

Under this scheme, eligible female students will receive a scholarship of as much as INR 50,000, consistent with a year for four years. The scholarship amount will cover training fees, exam fees, and other incidental expenses associated with the direction.

Renewal of Scholarship

In their first year of admission, students who have completed the AICTE Pragati Scholarship application must renew it annually as per the tenure of their course. The renewal forms can be filled in by students who passed the first year and entered into second, third, or fourth years. Follow the steps below to renew your application:

  1. Visit the NSP portal, www.scholarships.gov.in.
  2. In the Applicant Corner, you will find a selection option labeled as Renewal Application.
  3. Enter your application ID, password, and captcha code to log in.
  4. select "Apply for Renewal" when your dashboard opens.
  5. Provide your Aadhar number, family income, day scholar or hosteller status, class start and previous class, Registration / Admission Number, & Year of admission.
  6. Upload the necessary documents. We list them below for your convenience.
  7. Once all the documents have been uploaded, check the information you provided and click on submit.

It is important to remember that all required documents should be uploaded before submission of the renewal application.

Additional Information on the Scholarship

Applicants must comply with any scholarship program's terms and conditions:

  1. Scholarships will be forfeited if awardees fail to progress to the next class or level.
  2. The Scholarship Portal requires an original passing certificate/mark sheet and a letter from the HOD/institution head for scholarship renewal. 
  3. No more than two years should pass between passing the qualifying exam and being admitted to a diploma program. 
  4. Incomplete applications will not be accepted so complete and certified applications are required.
  5. Scholarships will not be awarded to such a candidate if he fails or drops out the following year.
  6. Total marks and CGPA from the mark sheet will be used to calculate their percentage.

Who can apply for the scholarship?

Those in the first year of a diploma/degree or second-year admission through lateral entry at institutions approved by AICTE would be eligible to apply for this scholarship. They must also have a family income of less than 8 lakh rupees annually.

As a first-year E/B.I am a tech student from a renowned university in India. Am I eligible for the AICTE scholarship program?

Ans: No. The scholarship is open only to students who are studying in AICTE-approved Institutions.

I am a 1st year Degree student eligible for the PRAGATI Scholarship. My father is also my co-account holder of Savings Bank Account. Can I use the Joint Savings Bank account to apply for the PRAGATI Scholarship?

Ans: All the bank accounts for joint savings are invalid.

I have also been awarded significant state government merit scholarships. Can I apply for a scholarship under PRAGATI?

Ans: No. A student is not eligible for the PRAGATI Scholarship if they receive other scholarships from the State or the federal government. However, applicants had the option of repaying.

I am an eligible applicant for the Pragati and Saksham scholarships. Am I eligible for both the Scholarships?

Ans: No, you can apply under one scheme for a Scholarship.

How long will I get the scholarship?

Ans Maximum of 4 years duration for first yr admitted Degree college students and a maximum of 3 years for Diploma Students.

In case of omissions/errors, contact the institute immediately to rectify the same.
