About O. P. Jindal Engineering & Management Scholarships : 

The visionary leader, Shri O.P. Jindal, served as the driving force behind the formation of the O. P. Jindal Group. Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarships (OPJEMS) as a means of encouraging academic and leadership excellence. These scholarships are granted to deserving students who embody the values and vision of Shri O. P. Jindal, displaying the potential to emerge as leaders in entrepreneurial excellence and innovation.

Annually, 100 students from 40-43 premier engineering and management institutions are honored with the OPJEMS scholarships. Over the past 16 years, this coveted scholarship has been awarded to more than 1,500 students, exemplifying the enduring commitment of the O. P. Jindal Group to nurturing talent and fostering a culture of excellence.

Eligibility Criteria for Scholarship :

Nomination Guidelines

The scholarship test nominations will be based on the specified eligibility criteria: Engineering Institutes

The first three highest-ranking students from each academic year in the following engineering disciplines:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Metallurgical Engineering

For 1st-year students, the selection will rely on the entrance exam ranking determined by the college during the selection process. Selection for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students will be contingent on their academic performance in the preceding year.

Management Institutes

The top ten students from each academic year in management:

  • 1st-year students: Selection based on entrance exam ranking at the time of admission.
  • 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students: Selection based on the academic performance of the previous year.

Documents Required Scholarship:

All applicants are required to include essential documents along with their application form when submitting it to the Sitaram Jindal Foundation officials.

  1. Photocopy of the mark sheet from the most recent examination passed.
  2. Photocopy of the SSLC/HSC marks card. If it lacks the date of birth, an alternative proof of date of birth must be submitted additionally.
  3. Candidates must provide a photocopy of the Income Certificate. For Category A and B (PUC and ITI students), a photocopy of the BPL card or Income Certificate is required. Category C, D, and E students (Graduate, Post Graduate, Diploma, Engineering, and Medical students) should submit photocopies of the Income Certificate issued by the relevant authorities designated by the respective State Governments. The Income Certificate must be dated within the last four years at the time of application. Orphans are exempt from providing an Income Certificate but must submit the death certificate of their parents.
  4. Certificate confirming annual fees as per Annexure-VIII.
  5. Certificate confirming students' admission under the Govt Merit Quota as per Annexure-VII. This is applicable to B.Sc (Ag), B.Sc (Forestry), BVSC, Diploma, Engineering, Medical, and MBA students.
  6. For hostellers, a certificate from the Warden or owner of private accommodation, as per Annexure-IV or Annexure-IX, as applicable.
  7. Physically challenged applicants must submit a certificate from a competent authority.
  8. For widows and Ex-servicemen, the following documents are required:

  11. Relationship Dependency Certificate.
