Eligibility Criteria for Scholarship:

General/Common eligibility criteria for both UG and PG scholars:
- Be a citizen of India.
- Priority is given to meritorious students.
- Candidates must be in the first year of their studies only.

Specific eligibility criteria for UG scholars:
- Passed 12th class examinations with a minimum of 60%.
- Family income should be under Rs. 15 lakhs.
- Students pursuing any stream can apply.
Specific eligibility criteria for PG scholars:
- Only candidates pursuing degree programmes in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Sciences, Mathematics and Computing, Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Renewable and New Energy, Material Science & Engineering and Life Sciences.
- Secured a score of 550 - 1,000 in the GATE Examination OR have scored 7.5 or above in their Undergraduate CGPA.
Non-eligible candidates:
- Students who have passed a diploma after the 10th class.
- Students pursuing 2nd year undergraduate degree courses
- Students studying through online, remote, distance, or any other non-regular modes.

Selection Criteria for Reliance Foundation Scholarship:

- Eligibility Questionnaire- The foremost parameter to shortlist candidates for the scholarships is their eligibility based on the questionnaire available on the official website only when they are accepting the applications.
- Supporting Documents- Candidates proceed with the applications based on the documents attached. This step generally includes proof of qualifying previous examination (class 12th) with the prescribed marks and income proof if applicable.
- Aptitude Test- Be it the UG or PG scholarship, applicants are required to clear the online aptitude test conducted by the Reliance Foundation. The test is based on verbal, analytical, logical, and numerical abilities with 60 MCQs to be solved in 60 minutes.

- Additional Steps- All the above steps apply commonly to UG and PG scholars. However, PG scholarship applicants will also be interviewed virtually by a panel of experts and academicians in the field. PG scholars must also present 2 letters of reference and 2 essays each.

- Find the Application Form on the page landed after proceeding with Step 1. You can also click on the ‘Application Portal’ at the above-mentioned link. Existing users can log in with their Username and Password. New visitors will have to tap on the “click here” button to receive login credentials after completing the eligibility questionnaire. It is available only when applications are open.
- After successful login, fill out all the necessary personal, academic, and extra-curricular details. This usually includes name, age, gender, contact, course, achievements, and awards.
- Cross-check your submitted information before finally saving it. Attach the scanned copies of the listed documents to showcase your merit and financial need, if applicable.
- Applicants of the PG scholarship will also be required to attach two Letters of Reference to attest their academic capabilities and leadership traits along with information about the professors, if available
- Another extra step for PG students to complete their application process would be to submit two essays conveying their Personal Statement and Statement of Purpose.
