NEET 2026 Marking Scheme
Understanding the marking scheme is crucial for NEET aspirants. Here's how the marking scheme for NEET 2026 works:
- Correct Answer: 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer.
- Incorrect Answer: 1 mark will be deducted as a negative marking for each incorrect response.
- Unanswered Questions: No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.
From 2025 onwards, the NTA discontinued the optional Section B. The NEET exam now consists of 180 compulsory questions only - there are no optional questions and the exam reverted to the pre-COVID format.
