Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU), formerly known as Nagpur University, is one of India's oldest universities, established in 1932. Spread over 318 acres with 39 Post Graduate Teaching Departments (PGTD), 3 constituent colleges, and 842 affiliated colleges across 11 campuses, RTMNU is a prestigious institution in Maharashtra. Application Process for Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University

1. Candidates need to fill the university application form for the respective courses through the admission web portal available at the official university website.
2. The payment for the applications is made online.
3. The candidates are advised to retain the copy of application form and payment receipt for further reference.
4. The printout of the completed application form has to be submitted at the university office within the stipulated time.

For UG/ PG courses:

1. For admission to UG/ programs, the application forms can be filled online through the official university website. To apply online, candidates are required to register themselves on the website.
2. While registering, candidates must have a colour photograph, a valid email ID and marksheet of qualifying examination. Candidates are required to fill the required details and select the ‘registration option.
3. After registration, candidates will get the user name and password on the registered mobile number and email-ID
4. Candidates can again login with the given user name and password to fill the application form. After filling the application form, candidates must take the print out of form and submit it to the respective college along with the required documents.

For Ph.D courses:

1. Application forms shall be filled through online mode available at the website of Designated Agency and submitted to the university by post within the stipulated time.
2. Duly filled-in applications should be mailed along with the certificates and and prescribed examination fee in the form of Demand Draft (DD).
3. DD should be drawn in favour of “Registrar, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur” and payable at Nagpur.

RTMNU UG Admissions 2024

The institution provides a wide range of undergraduate academic options in several fields, such as engineering, business, law, and the arts and sciences. Candidates must have passed the HSC (10+2) test from an accredited board of education with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates) of the total possible points in order to be admitted to UG courses. Based on their results in the qualifying 10+2 exam, candidates are selected for admission.

• The university does not hold any entrance tests for the following courses.
• The admission is based on the marks scored by the student in the qualifying exam.

The institution offers a wide range of postgraduate courses in several specialisations offered by several departments and faculties. The duration of all post-graduate courses is two years, and candidates are chosen for various post-graduate courses based on how well they performed on the university's admission exam. Based on applicants' achievement in the admission exam, the university publishes a merit list.

RTMNU Ph.D Admission 2024

The university provides Ph.D. programs in a variety of fields, including science, engineering, medicine, business, and the arts. Applicants for the research courses must have completed their post-graduate studies in the relevant field. Candidates are chosen based on their performance on the PET II (Ph.D. Entrance Test), a university entrance exam, and their qualifying degree grades. Candidates are shortlisted for admission to the M.Phil. program based on their performance on the PET I Entrance Exam and in their qualifying degree.

• Candidates must have completed his/her master's degree from a recognized university in the relevant subject.
• Candidate should have scored at least 50% marks (45% for reserved seats in Maharashtra) in their qualifying degree.
• The admission process generally starts in December.
