In 1963, Bangalore, Karnataka saw the establishment of RV College of Engineering (RVCE), a self-financing engineering college with AICTE approval. RVCE is recognized by the NBA and associated with Visvesvaraya Technological University. More than 1,200 students are admitted each year at RV College of Engineering. RVCE is renowned for its outstanding technical education, cutting-edge teaching strategies, pedagogy that emphasizes student outcomes, and research and consultancy. RVCE came in at number ninety-six in the NIRF Rankings 2023 for engineering.

RVCE Bangalore provides 14 specialties under M.Tech and Ph.D. programs, and 15 specializations under B.Tech programs. At the PG level, MCA is also offered by RVCE. The merit of the candidates' scores in the national and state level entrance exams determines their admission to the various engineering programs. The KCET, JEE Main, KCET, GATE, K PGCET, KMAT, and other admission exams are approved by RVCE.
