The Haryana Private Universities Act of 2006 allowed for the establishment of Sushant University, formerly known as Ansal University Gurugram, in 2012. Sushant School of Art & Architecture, Sushant School of Design, School of Hospitality Management, School of Business, School of Engineering & Technology, School of Law, School of Health Sciences, and School of Planning & Development are the eight institutions that provide a range of courses. Program-specific admissions processes differ, with some requiring students to take entrance tests administered nationally by different organisations. For those who wish to pursue a career in engineering, Sushant University offers postgraduate Master of Technology (M.Tech) programmes in Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), and Civil Engineering (CE).
