Yuvaraja’s College Mysore (established in 1928) stands as an autonomous institution that is affiliated with the University of Mysore. The college has been accredited with an ‘A’ grade by NAAC. Furthermore, it is acknowledged (because of its standards) as a College with potential for excellence by the University of Mysore. This institution is regarded as one of the oldest colleges in Karnataka, providing a variety of UG and PG courses in the domains of science and language; however, its rich history contributes to its esteemed reputation. Yuvaraja’s College, established in 1928, is an autonomous institution situated in Mysore, Karnataka. This esteemed college (which has served civil society for over nine decades) has played a pivotal role in advancing higher learning in the region. Spanning a consolidated campus of 9.6 acres, Yuvaraja’s College aspires to offer a diverse array of courses for its total enrollment of 3,635 students; of these, 3,017 are undergraduates and 618 are pursuing postgraduate studies. The college boasts a faculty strength of 64 highly dedicated professionals, which contributes to a favorable student-teacher ratio.
The College boasts the oldest library, established in 1918 and currently serves over 3,000 students (as well as more than 100 staff members) from the constituent colleges of the University of Mysore, particularly Yuvaraja’s College. It features its own independent heritage building that houses approximately 200,000 books and various informational resources, including old publications and rare collections—this is complemented by the latest technological advancements. Furthermore, the college provides sports facilities for all students; spacious sports grounds, a gymnasium and a swimming pool are maintained by the Department of Physical Education at the University of Mysore for the benefit of our students.
