Gujarat NEET PG Counselling 2026: ACPPGMEC Schedule, Process, Seat Matrix and Fees

Gujarat is one of India's largest postgraduate medical training hubs, with around 2,900+ MD/MS seats across roughly 24 medical colleges (government, self-financed and deemed combined). Postgraduate admissions to MD, MS, PG Diploma and CPS courses against the state quota are handled by the Admission Committee for Professional Postgraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPPGMEC), set up under the Government of Gujarat, through its portal medadmgujarat.org.

This guide brings together everything aspirants need for the Gujarat NEET PG Counselling 2026 cycle in one place — the NEET PG 2026 anchor exam date (30 August 2026, per the revised NBEMS calendar), how the 50% state quota / 50% All India Quota split works, ACPPGMEC's PIN-based registration flow, the expected schedule based on the 2025 reference cycle, seat matrix, fee structure, eligibility, document checklist and FAQs. All dates remain subject to ACPPGMEC's official 2026 notification.

About ACPPGMEC and the Gujarat NEET PG Counselling

ACPPGMEC is the statutory state body that conducts Gujarat NEET PG and NEET MDS counselling for the 50% state quota. The remaining 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats from Gujarat's government colleges are filled by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), New Delhi through mcc.nic.in. Candidates who clear NEET PG 2026 — conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) — can apply for both, subject to eligibility.

Gujarat NEET PG Counselling 2026: Step-by-Step Process

ACPPGMEC's flow has stayed structurally consistent over the last several cycles. The 2026 process is expected to follow the same five steps:

1. Purchase 14-digit PIN for Registration

To begin Gujarat NEET PG 2026 registration, candidates must purchase a 14-digit PIN from the official portal medadmgujarat.org. The PIN costs INR 3,000 (non-refundable application fee) + INR 25,000 (refundable security deposit) = INR 28,000 total (2025 reference; 2026 to be notified). The 5-digit serial number on the PIN becomes the candidate's User ID. PINs are typically available 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM on working days (Help Centres closed on Sundays and government holidays).

2. Online Registration on ACPPGMEC Portal

Using the PIN, candidates register on the ACPPGMEC portal, fill in personal, academic and NEET PG 2026 / NEET MDS 2026 details, upload required documents, and download the Registration Slip. While printing the Registration Slip, candidates must book an appointment for document verification at their preferred Help Centre.

3. Document Verification at a Help Centre

At the chosen Help Centre on the booked slot, original documents are physically verified. This step locks the candidate into the merit list.

4. Choice Filling and Locking

Eligible candidates featured on the State Merit List then log in and submit unlimited course-and-college preferences. ACPPGMEC strongly recommends listing as many choices as possible before locking — once locked, choices cannot be modified.

5. Seat Allotment and Reporting

Round-wise seat allotment lists are released on the portal based on NEET PG 2026 / NEET MDS 2026 scores, state merit rank, category and the locked preference order. Allotted candidates pay the tuition / token fee online or at the designated Axis Bank branch, download the allotment letter and payment receipt, and report to the help centre with originals.

Gujarat NEET PG Seat Matrix 2026 (Indicative — 2025 Reference)

Pending the final 2026 seat matrix from ACPPGMEC, the most recent 2025 reference distribution across Gujarat is summarised below. Total MD / MS seats from the 2025 cycle stood at roughly 2,900+ across about 24 medical colleges, with approximately 2,186 government college seats and 724 private / self-financed seats. Of the government MD/MS pool, 50% goes to All India Quota (MCC) and 50% to the state quota counselled by ACPPGMEC. Private and self-financed colleges contribute fully to the state quota counselling.

Out-of-state candidates can apply if they meet ACPPGMEC's eligibility — specifically the Gujarat domicile or Gujarat-12th-school criterion as defined in the 2026 brochure.
