Department of Financial Studies Admission
The Department of Financial Studies (DFS) in Delhi provides a comprehensive two-year, full-time MBA program specializing in Financial Management. Candidates (who possess) a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate marks are considered eligible to apply for the MBA (Finance) course. Admission to this program is contingent upon achieving a valid score in the CAT Entrance Examination. However, during the final selection process, which evaluates candidates based on multiple criteria, 60% of the weightage is allocated to the CAT entrance exam scorecard.
Application Process for Department of Financial Studies
- Only Online applications are approved, and no hard copy application form will be available.
- Apply on the official website of DFS.
- Candidates will be allowed to register on the website by submitting the required information, and then obtain a login Id and password.
- Fill the application form with all the required details such as personal, academic, contact and work experience details.
- You can apply for two programs i.e. MBA in Business Economics offered by the Department of Business Economics (DBE), Delhi University, and MBA in Finance offered by the Department of Financial Studies (DFS), Delhi University. But the selection processes are independent.
- Payment of application form is INR 700 for ST, SC, PWD category students and INR 1000 for other candidates for one program.
- Payment of application form for two program is INR 1200 for ST, SC, PWD category students INR 2000 for other candidates.
Documents Required for Admission
- Completed Application Form: Fill out as per the institute's guidelines.
- Graduation Mark Sheets: Original and photocopies for all semesters (for postgraduate courses).
- 10th and 12th Mark Sheets: Proof of secondary and higher secondary education.
- Entrance Exam Scorecard: Scores from exams like CAT, MAT, CMAT, or any other qualifying test accepted by the institute.
- Work Experience Certificate: If applicable, for candidates with prior work experience.
- Passport-Sized Photographs: Recent photos (usually 4-6 copies).
- Aadhaar Card/ID Proof: A government-issued ID for identification.
- Category Certificate: If applicable (for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
- Character Certificate: Issued by the previous institution.
- Domicile Certificate: If required for specific quotas.
