Established in 1987, Pramukhswami Medical College (PSMC) is located in Anand, Gujarat, and is affiliated with Sardar Patel University. PSMC provides a five and a half year full-time Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme for applicants who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent and have at least 50% of their marks in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined. After passing the Higher Secondary School exams, candidates are also eligible for admission to the MBBS programme if they have passed the pre-professional/pre-medical exams in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
The institute provides two-year diploma programmes in addition to three-year Master of Medicine (MD) or Master of Surgery (MS) programmes at the postgraduate level. Candidates for admission to the MD/MS programme must possess a recognised MBBS degree and be permanently registered as medical practitioners with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or any of the State Medical Councils.The candidates are chosen based on the results of an entrance exam that is administered in accordance with MCI and other relevant agencies' rules.
