SBRR Mahajana First Grade College (established in 1982) is a member of the institutions formed by the Mysore Education Trust. This trust, which was founded in 1937 (by a visionary group), aimed to enhance education in Mysore. Although the SBRR Mahajana First Grade College began as an exclusive institution for girls, it was created because the Trust sought to elevate women's education. Initially, the college offered two undergraduate courses: a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree. However, it has since evolved to encompass a broader educational mission.
SBRR Mahajana First Grade College (an autonomous institution) is located in Mysore, Karnataka and it was established in 1982. Spanning a barrier of 22 acres, the college offers 30 courses across 13 degree programs, with a total enrollment of 2,983 students. The faculty currently consists of 61 members, which caters to students' needs effectively; however, this results in a commendable student-teacher ratio of 11:01.
