Assam Down Town University (ADTU) was founded in 2010 with the intention of offering North East students an inexpensive, high-quality education. The Indian Association of Physiotherapy, University Grants Commission, Pharmacy Council of India, All India Council for Technical Education, and Indian Nursing Council all recognise the university.
The institution employs more than 250 staff members and more than 8000 students. Moreover, ADTU offers excellent placement prospects and a world-class infrastructure. In the most recent placement drive, ADTU recorded 90% of placements. The average package was INR 4 LPA, while the highest CTC offered was INR 25 LPA. Through partnerships with over 300 recruitment organisations, the institution has helped its students secure over 700 employment offers. ADTU Guwahati facilities and infrastructure are state-of-the-art, including specialized labs such as a medical simulation lab and a GAIT lab. The campus also offers sports facilities such as a Futsal ground, basketball court, cricket field, and football field for the students.
