About BHU Admission

BHU is currently accepting applications for various courses in 2024. The university offers over 100 undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across multiple fields, including fine arts, science, technology, and medicine. Courses are provided through two campuses, five institutes, 16 faculties, and 135 departments. Popular programs at BHU include BA (Hons), BSc, MBBS, and MSc.

Admissions to BHU are primarily based on national entrance exam scores, such as CUET, NEET, and CAT. The final selection is made through the university's own counseling process. BHU also provides relaxed eligibility criteria and cutoffs for candidates from reserved categories.

The registration process for undergraduate and postgraduate admissions at BHU usually begins in June, after the CUET results are announced. The entire application process is online, and eligible candidates can register on the official BHU website at bhuonline.in.

BHU Application Process 2024

BHU accepts applications only in online mode. Candidates qualified for CUET must also register on the university's admission portal. The application process for admission to UG courses is as follows:

  1. Visit the official website of the university, @bhuonline.in
  2. Under the UG/PG admission tab, select “Click for Registration” and the registration portal will open.
  3. Now click on the 'Register Yourself' button. Fill up the registration form and click on 'Sign up' to complete the registration process
  4. You will receive a confirmation message and an activation link. Click on the link to validate your registration
  5. You will be sent a validation code to your registered mobile number. Enter the code to complete the registration
  6. Now fill out the identification details form and submit the form
  7. Now, login using the BHU UG login credentials.
  8. Read the rules and regulations for filling the application form
  9. Now click on “My Applications” and fill up all the personal information
  10. Select the desired course
  11. Fill in the educational details and click on the save & proceed button
  12. Upload the required documents (size: should be than 100Kb, format: JPG/JPEG)
  13. Fill the program and seat preferences
  14. Fill bank details in case of a refund against cancellation of counseling
  15. Review the application form and click on ‘Confirm and submit’
  16. Pay the application fee via credit card/debit card/ net banking/UPI and select payment provider for BHU online fee payment. After receiving the ‘Students copy of Challan’, upload its scanned copy on the BHU Online portal.

BHU UG Admissions 2024

BHU offers four-year undergraduate programs for both Honors and Research tracks. All undergraduate courses are eight-semester (four-year) programs with exit options as per the National Education Policy guidelines. However, the B.Voc degree is a six-semester (three-year) course, and the BA LLB (Hons) is a ten-semester (five-year) program. Undergraduate courses at BHU are offered through the Faculty in the Main Campus, 2 other campuses, and 4 associate colleges. BHU admissions are conducted through national-level entrance exams such as CUET and NEET, followed by a counseling process.

BHU UG Courses Eligibility Criteria

BHU PG Courses Seat Intake & Fees

BHU classifies its postgraduate (PG) programs into "General", "Professional", "Special Courses of Study", and "Vocational". The university offers admission to these PG courses in two categories: Regular and Paid Seats. The General courses are the standard PG programs at BHU, where admissions are conducted in both Regular and Paid Seats categories. BHU UET 2024 Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for appearing for BHU UET 2024 entrance are as follows:

  1. Candidates who are appearing in the Last Year of the Qualifying Test can apply for the Test. In such cases, those candidates need to produce their original mark sheet of the qualifying exam at the counselling for seeking admission.
  2. Candidates who got admission as regular students to Part I / I-Semester in any of the courses of this University through Entrance Test in the previous years are not allowed to re-appear in the Entrance Test of the same Course with the same subject-combination unless exclusively granted by the Ordinance of the concerned Faculty.
  3. In case an applicant has successfully completed the qualifying Exam where only grades are given, he/she should present  a ‘Certificate of conversion’ from the concerned Institution mentioning the method of the conversion of grade point average to the percentage of marks
  4. “Aggregate percentage of marks” will comprise grace marks given to an aspirant. The percentage of marks in the total will be calculated as mentioned in the final mark sheet of the qualifying examination.
  5. In such cases of Graduate examination, the total marks will be calculated on the basis of 1800 marks.
  6. Degrees or Certificates recognized from any Indian University shall only be considered as equivalent degrees or certificates.
  7. The Distance Education Council of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)or other Open Indian Universities (AIU) candidates may be conditionally permitted to appear for the Entrance on producing of approval of the courses.
  8. The Application Forms of those applicants who have submitted fake certificates or taken up fake means are liable for rejection.
  9. Candidates can apply for courses for which he/she thinks are eligible.

BHU PG Courses Seat Intake & Fees

BHU classifies its postgraduate (PG) programs into "General", "Professional", "Special Courses of Study", and "Vocational". The university offers admission to these PG courses in two categories: Regular and Paid Seats. The General courses are the standard PG programs at BHU, where admissions are conducted in both Regular and Paid Seats categories. The course content remains the same for both categories, with the only difference being that students admitted under the Paid Seats category pay a higher fee. BHU UET 2024 Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for appearing for BHU UET 2024 entrance are as follows:

  1. Candidates who are appearing in the Last Year of the Qualifying Test can apply for the Test. In such cases, those candidates need to produce their original mark sheet of the qualifying exam at the counselling for seeking admission.
  2. Candidates who got admission as regular students to Part I / I-Semester in any of the courses of this University through Entrance Test in the previous years are not allowed to re-appear in the Entrance Test of the same Course with the same subject-combination unless exclusively granted by the Ordinance of the concerned Faculty.
  3. In case an applicant has successfully completed the qualifying Exam where only grades are given, he/she should present  a ‘Certificate of conversion’ from the concerned Institution mentioning the method of the conversion of grade point average to the percentage of marks
  4. “Aggregate percentage of marks” will comprise grace marks given to an aspirant. The percentage of marks in the total will be calculated as mentioned in the final mark sheet of the qualifying examination.
  5. In such cases of Graduate examination, the total marks will be calculated on the basis of 1800 marks.
  6. Degrees or Certificates recognized from any Indian University shall only be considered as equivalent degrees or certificates.
  7. The Distance Education Council of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)or other Open Indian Universities (AIU) candidates may be conditionally permitted to appear for the Entrance on producing of approval of the courses.
  8. The Application Forms of those applicants who have submitted fake certificates or taken up fake means are liable for rejection.
  9. Candidates can apply for courses for which he/she thinks are eligible.
