In 1992, Christian Dental College, Ludhiana (CDC Ludhiana) was founded as a centre for education and research. It has approval from the Dental Council of India, a branch of the Indian government, and is associated with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), located in Faridkot. According to NIRF 2021 and India Today 2021, the college is ranked 10th and 36th in the "Dental" category. In 2002, CDC Ludhiana became the pioneer private dental institution to provide an MDS course on Paedodontia and Preventive Dentistry. In 2014, the college also launched an MDS program in Maxillofacial and Prosthodontic Surgery. The institute is fully furnished with all the amenities of today, including conference rooms, computer centres, digital classrooms, libraries, labs, operating rooms, canteens, and medical facilities.
In the area of dentistry, CDC Ludhiana provides BDS at the undergraduate level. The BDS program has 100 seats available, according to the college. Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Oral Microbiology, and Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics are the specialisations available in the MDS program. Moreover, CDC Ludhiana has a PhD program. Based on the results of the college's entrance exam and subsequent interview, students can apply for a PhD. The NEET UG and NEET MDS scores are accepted by the college for admission to the BDS and MDS programs. After passing the entrance exam, candidates must sign up for counselling in order to be considered for All-India and State Quota Seats. For state quota seats, candidates must take part in the BFUHS-conducted Punjab State Counselling.
