Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training Admission

Admission is available for diploma programs and undergraduate (UG) degrees in the engineering, architecture, and science streams at Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training (HIMT) at Kalpakkam. Admissions to B.Sc., B.E/B.Tech., and Diploma programs are available through HIMT. In addition to candidates' performance on the qualifying test, HIMT admission is granted based on candidates' performance in the IMU CET.

For a period of four years, the institute offers a B.Tech. in Marine Engineering. The program can also be entered through Lateral Entry, according to the institute.

HIMT Chennai GME Admission

After six months of sea service, HIMT's one-year program leads to a Class IV Marine Engineer Officer Certificate of competency from the Directorate General of Shipping (Government of India), allowing cadets to work as marine engineers on merchant naval ships anywhere in the world. This is a fully residential course.
