The Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) was founded in 2002 by the Himachal Pradesh government's Extraordinary Gazette Notification of Act No. 14 of 2002. Under UGC Act Section 2(f), the University Grants Commission (UGC) granted its approval. AIU, or the Association of Indian Universities, counts the JUIT among its members. The majority of the university's programmes are NBA certified, and it has received NAAC accreditation twice, in 2011 and 2017. The University occupies twenty-five acres. The institution provides courses in BTech, MTech, MSc, and PhD specialisations.
The fields of engineering, applied sciences, humanities & social sciences, and doctorate-level studies and research are all offered by Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT).
