One of the most well-known foreign technology universities and the entry point for the USD 20.7 billion Mahindra Group into the higher education market is Mahindra University in Hyderabad. In partnership with JNTU Hyderabad and École Centrale Paris (formerly CentraleSupélec), MEC Hyderabad was founded in 2014. MEC is a division of Mahindra Educational Institutions, a fully owned subsidiary of Tech Mahindra, the IT company of the Mahindra Group. École Centrale Paris, which is currently CentraleSupélec, is one of France's oldest and most esteemed engineering schools.
In the Engineering area, Mahindra University is ranked 151-200 by NIRF 2023. Mahindra Educational Institutions (MEI), a Tech Mahindra company, is the sponsor of Mahindra University. Mahindra University Mumbai provides UG, PG, PhD, and other courses to students through a number of departments and schools of study. These courses are offered in journalism, engineering, and other fields.
Library: With more than 13,000 volumes covering a broad range of topics, the institute boasts a well-stocked library. Labs: All divisions at the institute have state-of-the-art, fully furnished laboratories. These include, among many others, computer labs, robotics labs, VLSI labs, machines and power system labs, geology labs, transportation engineering labs, and mechanical workshops.
Hostel: There are eight operational hostels at the institute right now. Food is offered four times a day at the mess: breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and supper. A variety of cuisines are served.
