Yes, NMIT provides hostel facilities for the students. NMIT provides On-campus Hostels for about 1000 boys and 500 girls. There are four hostels for boys and two for girls. Twin and triple sharing rooms are available. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals are available for students.

NMIT is college for BE courses in various branches such as ISE, ECE, CSE and Mechanical engineering, etc. It has ranked in 151-200 band for Engineering category by NIRF in 2023. It depends on which course a candidate is applying. If they go for ISE and CSE then it is one of the best college because placements are good. But for other branches placements are average. Many industry leading companies visit the institute to offer jobs to the students. As it is an autonomous college so marking scheme is also good.
NMIT Bangalore M.Tech admission is entrance based. Candidates who have a BTech or BE qualification with minimum 50% aggregate (candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ ST and Category-1 must obtain at least 45% aggregate) in the qualifying examination can apply for admission in the M.Tech programme. Further, candidates must appear for Karnataka PGCET or GATE (for admission through the management quota).
Aspirants who have passed Second PUC/ Class 12 or equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and obtained at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for candidates belonging to Karnataka SC, ST and other Backward Classes Category I, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Biology. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility like marksheet and certificates for verification.
A pass in BCA or Bachelor's in Computer Science Engineering or BSc/ BA/ BCom with Mathematics at Class 12 or graduation level with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for Karnataka belonging to SC/ ST and Category-1) is required to apply for the MCA course. Candidates are required to fulfil the eligibility requirements and submit their proof of eligibility during the document verification round. Any candidate found ineligible during the verification process, will not be given admission.
