NRI Medical College, established in 2003, is located in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, and is affiliated with Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada. Promoted by a consortium of 32 NRI doctors from the USA, the college offers MBBS at the undergraduate level, MD and MS at the postgraduate level, and Super Specialty courses in three disciplines. The candidate must be at least 17 years old by December 31 in order to be admitted to the MBBS program. Admissions are made based on the results of the CBSE-conducted NEET entrance exam.
MD, MS, and PG diploma programs are available at NRI Medical College in a number of subject areas. Applicants must have completed their MBBS at a university accredited by the MCI. PG, MS, and MD diploma programs are selected based on NEET PG scores. Applicants need to be registered with the State Medical Council of Andhra Pradesh or the MCI.
The M.Ch (Master of Chirurgiae) in Cardio Vascular & Thoracic Surgery, Neuro Surgery, and Cardiology is offered at NRI Medical College. A master's degree or its equivalent in the pertinent discipline is the minimum requirement for applying to the M.Ch. and DM courses. All applicants wishing to be admitted to the M.Ch. or DM program must have completed their permanent registration with the Indian Medical Council.
