PSG College Of Technology Summary

In 1951, G.R. Damodaran founded PSG College of Technology, which is usually referred to as PSGCT and is the initial private Engineering Institution ever since its establishment in Tamil Nadu. Positioned 63rd in Engineering and 89th in Management, the college is an affiliate of Anna University and is situated in Coimbatore (NIRF, 2023). Popularly PSGCT provides courses in Science & Technology, Engineering, & Management. Admission of B.E. & B.Tech is done through TNEA Counseling. M.E, M.Tech, MBA, PGDM, and MCA admissions are through TANCET Exam followed by TANCA counseling. Besides GATE is admitted for Masters Programs, The PhD admissions are based on GATE / NET / JRF / PSGCT Entrance scores.

About PSG College Of Technology

A private college known as PSG College of Technology was founded in 1951. The college has been approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai which means that PSG Tech Coimbatore belongs to it. In terms of this year’s NIRF ranking, PSGCT Coimbatore is placed in the 101-150th rank band coming 63rd under the engineering category.PSG College of Technology courses are offered at UG, PG and doctoral levels in full-time, part-time and online modes. PSGCT Coimbatore UG Courses are B.Sc, B.E/B.Tech, B.Sc.M.Sc., and PSGCT Coimbatore PG Courses are M.Sc, M.E/M.Tech, MBA and MCA. PSG College of Technology also offers PhD in different departments. PSG College of Technology admissions are done on the basis of the student's performance in the single-window counselling (DoTE), and as per Anna University norms. As per the PSGCT Coimbatore B.Tech admission process, candidates must have valid scores in the qualifying examination (10+2) and must attend the TNEA counselling.

1. Library: There are over 2 lakh volumes in Science, Engineering, Management & Science on the whole. Also, an E-Library is available for journals and subscriptions. It has more than 15,000 journals from various publishers like ASME, ASCE, IEEE, ASTM, etc are available.
2. Computer & Network: An Internet of 1300 Mbps bandwidth is available on-campus. There are 4500 systems with 3500 LAN connections and 500 WAN connections. Imac machines are also available in the Media Laboratory.
3. Sports Facilities: There are both outdoor and indoor sports facilities available. Including football, hockey, cricket, volleyball, and badminton, tennis courts and grounds are available along with indoor table tennis, badminton, and basketball courts.
4. Extracurricular Activities: A wide variety of student clubs as many as 20+ functions. Some of them are Dramatics, Animal Welfare, Astronomy, Serious Quizzers, English Literary Society, Entrepreneur and Readers Club, etc. run at PSGCT for extracurricular activities.
