SJB Institute of Technology is a firm believer in the importance of exercise and playing sports. The campus has a well-developed infrastructure for both indoor and outdoor sports. The physical education department offers a whopping 15 outdoor sports, such as basketball, handball, kabaddi; and seven indoor sports, including badminton and table tennis. The college has two major festivals each year - 'Varchasva' (an intercollegiate festival) and Nada Laya Sangama (a musical cultural festival). Varchasva is an opportunity for students to meet and interact with other students from over 50 colleges and is known to be one of the best college festivals. It allows students to tap into their creative side and showcase their talents. Nada Laya Sangama, on the other hand, caters to students interested in Indian classical music and garners an audience of over 1,000 people.
