How Parents Can Support Their Child's Exam Preparation

BUT NOT NECESSARILY ALONE.. You as parents can play a huge role in their journey..

BE THEIR BACKBONE AND LET THEM SHINE AS A STAR…!!!

DOs : 

1. Understand that your child has a lot to deal with in terms of studies- understanding the concept, preparing for school exams & also competitive exams. It is a difficult task. BE EMPATHETIC
2. Spend time with you child regularly to understand their likes, dislikes & challenges they face 
3. Help them figure out solutions to their challenges and come out stronger. Take professional help, if needed
4. Allow them to pursue their hobbies at leisure for some time. Relaxation breaks work wonders
5. Instead of scolding or forcing make your child understand the impact of studying on their life
6. KEEP THE ENVIRONMENT AT HOME HAPPY AND CALM
7. Try to provide them resources they need
8. ACKNOWLEDGE & APPRECIATE THEIR EFFORTS WHILE ENCOURAGING THEM TO DO BETTER

DON'Ts : 

1. Do not COMPARE THEM with your neighbors children or their cousins & friends - Breeds hatred & jealousy 
2. Do not read them inspirational stories of students from poor or low background achieving great heights - leads to LOW SELF-ESTEEM
3. Do not MICROMANAGE them, unless they ask you to, give them space
4. DO NOT CRITICIZE your child if they do not perform well, instead understand their limitations & try to help them overcome that
