KEAM Rank List 2025 will be released by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, on or before June 10, 2025, via the official website cee.kerala.gov.in. The list will be prepared using a normalisation process that combines the KEAM entrance exam scores and the Class 12 marks submitted by candidates. If you’ve appeared for KEAM this year, make sure to upload your qualifying exam scores within the given deadline—failing to do so means you won't be considered for the engineering rank list.

By the end of this blog, you will know

How are the KEAM 2025 Results Compiled?

The KEAM 2025 results are prepared using a structured approach that includes both exam performance and academic records. Here's a breakdown of how the results are put together:

1. KEAM 2025 Scorecard

Each candidate’s scorecard will be made available through their login on the official portal. This document reflects the subject-wise marks as well as the total score secured in the KEAM 2025 entrance examination.

2. KEAM Rank List 2025

The rank list is generated by combining the scores from the KEAM entrance test and the qualifying exam (typically Class XII or equivalent). The ratio in which these two components are considered differs based on the course for which the candidate has applied. Separate rank lists are published for Engineering, B.Pharm, Architecture, Medical (MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS/BSMS/BUMS), and allied programs like Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Fisheries, B.Tech Biotechnology (KAU), Forestry, and Co-operation & Banking.

KEAM 2025 Normalisation Process Explained

To account for variations across multiple test sessions and ensure a level playing field, KEAM follows a normalisation procedure. This helps maintain fairness in score evaluation, especially since candidates may appear in different sessions.

The final score post-normalisation is scaled to a maximum of 300 marks, as per the standardisation approved by the KEAM Normalisation Committee.

What Method is Used?

The normalisation follows the Percentile Interpolated Average Method, which is applied to all sessions:

  • Suppose there are K different sessions.
  • Let Ni represent the total number of candidates who appeared in the i-th session.

KEAM 2025 Normalisation Process Explained

This technique ensures that no candidate is unfairly advantaged or disadvantaged due to differences in session difficulty.

KEAM Rank List 2025 Criteria & Marks Submission Process

To ensure fair evaluation, the KEAM rank list 2025 will be compiled based on a 50:50 weightage—half from your KEAM entrance exam score and half from your 10+2 marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. This means submitting your Class 12 marks is not optional—it’s mandatory if you want to be included in the final rank list.

How is the Rank List Prepared?

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, will consider both KEAM 2025 scores and the PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) aggregate from your qualifying exam. Candidates must upload their Class 12 marks via the official candidate portal. Only those who complete this step will be considered for ranking.

Verifying Your 10+2 Marks for KEAM 2025

Before finalising the rank list, CEE Kerala gives candidates a window to verify the marks they’ve submitted. If there's a mismatch, students can make corrections and upload valid proof. Here are the steps to verify class 12 marks:

1. Visit the Official KEAM Website

Go to cee.kerala.gov.in to begin the verification process.

2. Log In to the KEAM Candidate Portal

Enter your application number, password, and access code to access your account.

3. Access the “12 Marks Verification for Engineering” Section

Find the relevant section to verify your Class 12 marks.

4. Confirm Marks Accuracy

If the marks are correct, select “No Change” and click “Verified and Found Correct.”

5. Request Changes for Incorrect Marks

For incorrect marks, click on “Change Required” and then “Verified and Found Mismatch.”

6. Upload Supporting Documents

Submit scanned copies of your original mark sheets as proof for any corrections.

How to Submit 10+2 Marks for Rank List Consideration?

If you haven’t submitted your marks yet, here’s how to do it:

Access the KEAM 2025 Portal

Head to the official KEAM website – cee.kerala.gov.in and log in with your credentials.

Locate the Marks Submission Tab

Navigate to the “Marks Submission for Engineering” tab for the next steps.

Verify and Edit Submitted Marks

If your marks are accurate, no further action is required. Otherwise, click the “Change” button to make necessary edits.

Upload Mark Sheet Documents

Upload the relevant mark list documents as per the instructions.

Confirmation and Printout

Download and print the “Marks Submission Confirmation Report” for your records.

How is the Final Rank List Prepared for Engineering Aspirants?

The rank list for KEAM 2025 Engineering admission is determined by combining two sets of scores — the normalised marks from the KEAM 2025 Engineering Entrance Examination and the standardised scores from the candidate’s final-year qualifying exam in key subjects. Both components are weighted equally at 50:50 to calculate the final ranking.

Here’s how it works:

  • The score from the KEAM Engineering entrance test (normalised and scaled to 300) is combined with the standardised marks (also out of 300) from the qualifying examination in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry or an eligible alternate subject.
  • The total score is calculated out of 600 and serves as the basis for the engineering rank list.
  • Scores are corrected to four decimal places to ensure fairness and accuracy.

Subjects Considered for Engineering Rank Calculation

To ensure fairness across different academic backgrounds, the following subjects from the qualifying exam are considered for ranking:

Priority

Subject Considered

1

Mathematics

2

Physics

3

Chemistry

4

Computer Science (if Chemistry is not studied)

5

Biotechnology (if both Chemistry and CS are not studied)

6

Biology (if none of the above were taken)

How are Qualifying Exam Marks Standardised?

The final-year marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (or the appropriate subject substitute) are first scaled to a base of 100 per subject. After this:

  • The total score is recalculated out of 300, considering all three subjects.
  • A standardisation process is applied based on statistical factors like the Global Mean and Standard Deviation of each board.
  • This ensures all students are assessed on a level playing field, regardless of the board or curriculum they followed.

KEAM 2025 Rank Compilation for Non-Engineering Programs

Apart from BTech, admission to other professional programs through KEAM 2025 is based on a combination of national-level test scores and performance in qualifying exams. Each course follows a specific ranking method, often dependent on tests like NEET-UG or NATA, along with eligibility conditions such as nativity. Below is a quick breakdown of how the KEAM rank list 2025 is prepared for different programs:

Course

Ranking Method

BPharm

The rank list for BPharm is derived by calculating an index mark: the Chemistry score from the KEAM Engineering Paper is multiplied by 2.25, added to the Physics score from Paper-I, and then the total is multiplied by 2/3. The maximum index score is 300.

MBBS / BDS / BHMS / BSMS / BUMS

Rankings are based entirely on NEET-UG 2025 scores, provided the candidate meets the nativity requirements.

BArch

Equal weight is given to the NATA score and the marks/grades from the qualifying exam when preparing the rank list.

Ayurveda

Admission rankings are calculated based on the NEET-UG 2025 performance, subject to nativity criteria.

Agriculture, Veterinary, Forestry, Co-operation & Banking, Climate Change & Environmental Science, BTech Biotechnology (offered by KAU), and Fisheries

Ranks for these courses are also determined through NEET-UG 2025, with eligibility based on nativity conditions.

KEAM 2025 Tie-Breaking Criteria

In the event that two or more candidates score identical marks in the KEAM 2025 exam, the authorities will apply the following tie-breaking procedure to determine the merit list. Below are the detailed criteria,

S. No

Tie-Breaking Rule

1

Candidates who score higher in Mathematics in KEAM 2025 will be ranked higher.

2

Preference will be given to students who achieve higher marks in Physics.

3

Candidates with higher standardised marks in Class 12 Mathematics will be ranked higher.

4

If needed, higher standardised marks in Physics from Class 12 will be considered for ranking.

5

Older candidates will be given priority over younger ones in the event of a tie.

KEAM 2025 Cut-off Criteria for Ranking Eligibility

KEAM does not set fixed pass marks for the entrance exam. However, to be considered for admission and included in the respective rank lists, candidates must meet certain score requirements based on the course they’re applying for.

Score Requirements to Qualify for the KEAM Rank Lists 2025

Candidates must achieve a minimum normalised score in the entrance exam to be considered for the Engineering or Pharmacy rank lists. These criteria vary slightly for general and reserved category applicants. Here's how it works:

Course

Notes & Exemptions

BPharm

A minimum of 10 marks out of 300 is needed (normalised score) to be considered for the Pharmacy rank list.

SC/ST candidates are not required to meet this minimum. However, those who leave all questions in the Physics and Chemistry sections unanswered will be excluded from the list.

Engineering

Candidates need to score at least 10 marks (normalised) in the Engineering Entrance Exam to be eligible for the rank list.

SC/ST candidates do not have to meet this minimum. But those who fail to attempt even a single question will be disqualified.

What is a KEAM Rank Predictor, and how accurate is it?

A KEAM Rank Predictor is an online tool that estimates your potential rank based on your entrance exam scores and, in some cases, your 10+2 marks. While it offers a fair approximation, it doesn’t factor in the full normalisation process, competition level, or standardisation used by CEE Kerala. Use it as a rough guide—not a final verdict.
