Eternal University, established in 2009, is North India's first all-girls university. It offers a diverse range of academic programs, including BA, BSc, BTech, MSc, MCom, MBA, MA, and PhD. Eternal University, Baru Sahib, was established under the Himachal Pradesh Private Universities Act on April 29, 2008. Recognized by the UGC under the UGC Act of 1956, it is a self-financed private university. The campus spans 800,000 sq. ft. in Baru Sahib and is accredited by NAAC and ISO 9001:2015 certified. The university was founded under the Himachal Pradesh Private University (Establishment & Regulation) Act 2006 and Himachal Pradesh Government Act No. 3 of 2009.
Eternal University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses exclusively for women, across diverse fields including agriculture, basic sciences, health and allied sciences, engineering and technology, education, economics, commerce, management, arts, and social sciences. Admission to these courses is based on merit and entrance exams.
Eternal University (EU) was ranked 26th out of 50 colleges in India for Innovation by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2020. This recognition reflects the university's strong focus on fostering creativity and technological advancements across various academic disciplines. Eternal University provides a range of facilities for its students. The automated library houses over 42,936 books, web courses, and 300 CDs/DVDs, alongside subscriptions to 53 national and international journals. The university has a well-equipped girls' hostel with 1,054 beds. Its sports complex features badminton, basketball, cricket, football, tennis, and volleyball courts, as well as an athletic track. The labs available include Civil, Chemistry, Computer, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, and more. Additional amenities include a cafeteria, gym, medical facilities, Wi-Fi campus, shuttle service, auditorium, music room, and convenience store. Other services include bank/ATM, botanical garden, post office, and seminar hall.
