GCS (Gujarat Cancer Society) Medical College is a leading institution committed to excellence in medical education. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs, with 150 seats available for MBBS and 59 for MD and MS programs. The college encompasses eight core departments: Anatomy, Pathology, Physiology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Community Medicine, and Forensic Medicine. Admissions to the MBBS program are conducted through the NEET exam, followed by counseling. For MD and MS courses, candidates need a recognized graduate degree, and the program spans a minimum of three academic years. The college enrolled 149 UG and 52 PG students for the current academic year.

Application Process for GCS Medical College

1. For enrolling in Undergraduate courses students have to clear a common entrance test. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is the CET you need to clear.
2. Additionally, you must have secured a 50% percentage.
3. For other courses, you need to be a Graduate and clear NEET.
4. The candidates are selected on the basis of their merits and scores of NEET examinations.

GCS Medical College MBBS Admission 2024

The college offers only one UG Course that is MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery). The course is a four and a half year period followed by a one-year internship.

Eligibility

• The candidate must be a citizen of India and have completed 17 years of age on the 31st of December of the academic year
• The candidate must have passed 10+2 (PCB stream) with a minimum of 50% for general category students, 40% for SC/ST category students, and 45 % for OBC category students.
• A candidate must have appeared in NEET UG Entrance Examination conducted for that year for which admission is being held and qualified as per criteria laid down by the competent authority.

GCS Medical College MD/MS Admission 2024

The GCSMC provides the MD (Doctor of Medicine) and MS (Master of Surgery) postgraduate degree programs. There are several specialisations available for it. The 16 MD specialisations and the 3 MS specialisations are listed in the table below.The remaining 75% of seats are set aside for government quota, which comprises state quota and open category seats. The college has set aside 25% of its seats for the NRI and Management Quota (NRI: 15% and Management Quota: 10%).

Eligibility Criteria

• A candidate shall be an Indian Citizen.
• The candidate must have completed MBBS degree from any college recognized by the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• Candidate must have completed one year of internship on or before March 31 of the respective academic year.
• A candidate must have appeared in NEET PG Entrance Examination conducted for that year for which admission are being held and qualified as per criteria laid down by the competent authority.
