Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sirmaur, established in 2015, is located in Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh, amidst the scenic beauty of the Himalayas, earning it the nickname "Himalayan IIM." As part of the 3rd generation of IIMs, or Baby IIMs, it operates from a temporary campus along the Yamuna River and is close to Dehradun and Mussoorie. The institute was founded under the mentorship of IIM Lucknow, which has provided valuable guidance in curriculum development, faculty training, and management education best practices. Despite being a relatively new IIM with developing alumni networks and industrial relations, IIM Sirmaur is steadily establishing itself as a premier institute with a focus on academic excellence and experiential learning, poised to become one of the top management schools in the country.
IIM Sirmaur offers placement assistance to students. The college is visited by top companies such as Cognizant, ICICI Bank, and others. The highest package offered to students in recent years was INR 64.12 LPA. The college aims to contribute to the socio-economic environment and the quality of life through its several outreach activities. This IIM aims to achieve international standards in teaching and quality research work.
IIM Sirmaur is famous for its flagship MBA and PhD courses. Indian Institute of Management–Sirmaur (IIM-Sirmaur) has experienced faculty members. IIM Sirmaur faculty are PhD, degree, and diploma holders. The college infrastructure is quite good. The college classrooms are modern and all the classrooms have a capacity to accommodate 60 students.
