44th among the top Management institutes in India by NIRF 2023

The IIT Dhanbad MBA program is ranked 44th in the 'Management' category of the NIRF Rankings 2023. Last year, it was ranked 46th. As for placements, the MBA program at IIT Dhanbad had a placement rate of 80.39%, with the highest domestic package offered being INR 50 LPA.

The CAT cut-off percentile for 2023 will determine who gets shortlisted for the GD-WAT-PI rounds of the IIT ISM Dhanbad MBA admission process. Based on past trends, the expected CAT cut-off for IIT ISM Dhanbad in 2023 is likely to be 80 percentile for the General category and 70 percentile for the OBC category.
Only the IIT graduates with a CGPA of 8.0 and above on a 10-point scale are offered direct admission to IIT Dhanbad M.tech. All other candidates need to have a GATE score and participate in COAP counselling.
The IIT Dhanbad General MBA consists of 62 seats and for MBA in Business Analytics it is 30. The institute also follows a reservation policy as per the GOI rules.
A candidate must have graduated from an accredited university in any discipline with a minimum cumulative GPA of 60% or a CGPA of 6.0 and have taken Mathematics or Statistics as one of their Bachelor 's-level courses in order to be eligible for the IIT Dhanbad MBA program. Additionally, students must carry the necessary documentation to prove their eligibility.
