The Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences (KIDS) represents a prominent private dental institution that was established in 2007 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. However, MDS courses are also offered: these include Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Periodontology and Public Health Dentistry, among other branches. Although the curriculum is comprehensive, students often find the workload challenging because of the rigor involved.
The college (which is known for its commitment to student welfare) provides dedicated hostel facilities for both boys and girls, ensuring comfortable accommodation for all students. The campus features a health center that is equipped with first aid services. Its Centralized Air Conditioned Library boasts a substantial collection of over 9,180 dental, medical and allied health science books, along with 66 foreign and 19 Indian journals, valued at approximately ₹3.2 crores. However, no new books were purchased this financial year because of budget constraints; the library's annual budget still stands at ₹40 lakhs.
