Kerala University of Health Sciences is situated in Thrissur and was founded in 2010. It provides classes in MD, MS, B.Pharm, and numerous other fields. About 130 undergraduate and graduate courses in the fields of Allied Health Science, Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, and Pharmacy are offered by KUHS's eight departments. The university offers MD and Pharma D doctorate degrees. A two-year Postgraduate Diploma in Anaesthesiology is also offered. At KUHS, every course is designed with systematic teaching, training, and research in Modern Medicine, Homoeopathy, and Indian systems of medicine such as Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Siddha, Yoga, and Unani medicine in mind.
Located in Government Medical College, Thrissur, is the campus of Kerala University of Health Sciences. By virtue of the Kerala University of Health Sciences Act of 2010, it was founded in 2009. The 75 acres that make up the KUHS campus are furnished with all the facilities that are required. Modern, technologically sound infrastructure at KUHS is routinely examined to ensure that students' demands are being satisfied. A few of the well-known KUHS amenities are its wifi network, smart classrooms, library, auditorium, labs, residence halls, mess, and sports facilities.
Ayurveda, Siddha, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, and other allied sciences are among the Indian systems of medicine along with modern medicine and homoeopathy that are covered in a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral courses offered by UHS. There are 296 colleges that are associated with KUHS in total. Entrance exams such as NEET PG for postgraduate programs, with the exception of MDS, and NEET UG for undergraduate programs are used to determine admission to KUHS. NEET SS serves as the prerequisite for admission to KUHS's DM and MCh programs, whereas NEET MDS is approved for admission to MDS courses. Regarding KUHS placement in 2022, the reports are still pending. Every year, KUHS holds placement drives, and the placement cell is in charge of making sure the entire process runs smoothly.
