NIU Greater Noida University was founded in 2010 and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as well as an institution recognised by the UGC. The university is approved by the UGC and, as of 2023, the IIRF placed it 104th out of 171 Indian colleges. The four schools of BMU—the School of Engineering and Technology, the School of Management, the School of Economics and Commerce, and the School of Law—maintain a healthy student-to-faculty ratio and conduct an effective mentor-mentee programme. In addition, NIU is home to the Noida International Institute of Medical Sciences (NIIMS), a medical college with more than 650 beds.
