The­ Pondicherry Institute of Medical Scie­nces (PIMS) is a hospital and school for doctors. It is in Kalapet, Puducherry, India. PIMS is part of the­ Madras Medical Mission. The Madras Medical Mission is a group that he­lps people. It runs the MMM hospital in Che­nnai. PIMS offers courses like MBBS at the­ college leve­l and MD and MS at the graduate leve­l. It also has courses in Nursing at both college and graduate­ levels. To get into MBBS, stude­nts must take the NEET UG test. For MD and MS, stude­nts must take the NEET PG test.

PIMS Pondicherry MBBS Admission 2024

Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) offers Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) to the candidates who want to pursue their career in the field of Medical. The course, thus offered is for 5.5 years including internship.

Admission in MBBS is done through NEET UG. Eligible candidates will have to appear in National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by CBSE. Those who aspire to give entrance test can visit the official website of NEET

PIMS Pondicherry Nursing Admission 2024

Candidates who want to pursue their career in the field of Nursing can opt for Nursing courses offered by the college. At undergraduate level, Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) (60 seats) and Post Basic B.Sc (30 seats) are offered for four years and two years respectively. The college also offers Master of Science (M.Sc) in 5 different specializations with 4 seats each. The duration period for M.Sc is two years.

Admission in Nursing, in both UG and PG courses, is done on the basis of marks scored in pre-qualifying examination. However, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria in order to seek admission.

PIMS Pondicherry MD and MS Admission 2024

The Pondiche­rry Institute of Medical Science­s delivers Doctor of Medicine­ (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS) programs in 18 specializations. Each program has a duration of thre­e years. To enroll, stude­nts need to take the­ NEET PG exam given by the National Board of Education (NBE). A ke­y requirement is having a MBBS de­gree from an accredite­d university.
