  2. Click on "Fill online CSIR NET 2025 Application Form" on the homepage.
  3. Choose "Register New" if you are a first-time applicant.
  4. Accept the terms and click “Click Here to Continue”.
  5. Fill in your basic details in the registration form.
  6. Review the information and click “Final Submit”.
  7. Confirm your registration when prompted.
  8. Your application number will appear on the screen.
  9. Click on "Complete Application" to move to the next step.
  10. Verify your mobile number and email.

Eligibility Criteria for CSIR NET Exam 2025 

Before applying for the CSIR NET 2025 exam, candidates must verify that they meet the required eligibility criteria set by the NTA. Below are the key points to know:

1. Nationality

Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for the CSIR NET 2025 exam.

2. Age Limit

For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), the maximum age is 30 years as of February 2025. However, there is an age relaxation of up to 5 years for candidates belonging to the OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PWD, and Third Gender categories, as well as women applicants. For Assistant Professor and Phd admissions, there is no upper age limit for applying for the Assistant Professor position or admission to Phd programs through the CSIR NET.

3. Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold any one of the following degrees with the required marks:

  • At least 55% marks for the General and OBC categories.
  • At least 50% marks for SC, ST, and PWD candidates.

The accepted qualifications for CSIR NET 2025 include an MSc or equivalent degree, an Integrated BS-MS program, a 4-year BS program, a BE/BTech degree, a BPharma degree, or an MBBS degree.
