The ICAR AIEEA 2026 admission cycle is now underway. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts ICAR entrance examinations annually. Through these exams, students can gain admission into undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in agriculture and allied sciences.

Key update: Since the 2022–23 academic year, ICAR UG admissions are conducted through CUET-UG (administered by NTA) — the standalone AIEEA-UG has been merged into CUET-UG. ICAR PG admissions continue through the AIEEA-PG exam, also conducted by NTA.

ICAR AIEEA 2026 – What's New?

For the 2026 cycle:

• UG admissions to ICAR-affiliated agricultural universities are via CUET-UG 2026 (conducted by NTA). CUET-UG 2026 is currently in progress (May–June 2026).
• PG admissions (M.Sc. / M.V.Sc. programmes) are via AIEEA-PG 2026, conducted by NTA. Applications are expected in mid-2026; the exam is expected around July 2026 (dates to be confirmed on the NTA/ICAR portal).
• Doctoral fellowships (JRF/SRF) are via AICE-JRF/SRF(Ph.D.) 2026, also conducted by NTA.

ICAR AIEEA 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Before filling out the registration form, candidates must ensure they meet the following eligibility requirements:

General Eligibility:

• Nationality: Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.
• Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 19 years old by 31st August 2026 to apply for ICAR AIEEA PG courses. There is no age limit for UG courses.

For UG Courses (Through CUET-UG):

• Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have passed the 12th-grade exam from a recognised board or school.
• Marks Requirement: The minimum marks criteria may vary depending on the university.
• Appearing Candidates: Students appearing for their 12th exam are also eligible to apply.

For PG Courses:

• Educational Qualifications: Candidates from a recognised institution should have completed a graduation degree (either a 4/6-year B.Sc. Ag. or a 5-year B.V.Sc. & AH or similar degree).
• Marks Requirement: A minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying degree is required (50% for candidates from reserved categories).

ICAR AIEEA 2026 Admit Card

The ICAR AIEEA admit card will be uploaded according to the exam schedule. For AIEEA-PG 2026, the hall ticket is expected in June–July 2026 (to be confirmed by NTA/ICAR). Candidates can download it using their official NTA login credentials.

Candidates must bring the admit card on the exam day. No candidate can enter the exam hall without a valid admit card. Candidates must also carry a government-issued photo ID. Print and keep the hall ticket safe.

ICAR AIEEA 2026 Answer Key

The answer key for ICAR AIEEA 2026 will be released on the NTA portal after the exam. For PG courses, the provisional answer key is expected in July 2026 and the final answer key shortly after. The response sheet and question papers will also be made available. An objection window will open for candidates with concerns.

Students can raise objections by paying a fee of ₹200 per question (fee subject to change; confirm on the official portal). The online challenge facility is typically open for 2 to 3 days. After reviewing all challenges, the final answer key will be released.

The result for ICAR AIEEA-PG 2026 will be announced online on the NTA portal. Results are expected around August 2026. ICAR will prepare a separate merit list for each major subject. The result will indicate whether candidates have qualified.

If two or more candidates score the same marks, the merit list will be determined based on the authority's prescribed tie-breaking rules. No re-evaluation or re-checking requests will be accepted after the result is declared.

ICAR AIEEA 2026 Counselling

Candidates declared eligible must register and select their preferences for the ICAR AIEEA counselling. The process is conducted online. Seats are allocated on a performance basis.

The counselling procedure includes several steps: online registration, filling choices, seat allocation, reporting, and document verification.

Direct admissions to ICAR-affiliated universities are not allowed; candidates must appear for CUET-UG or AIEEA-PG.
