FAQs on Rajasthan NEET UG Counselling 2026

Who conducts Rajasthan NEET UG Counselling 2026?

It is conducted by the Office of the Chairman, NEET UG Medical & Dental Admission/Counselling Board, based at SMS Medical College, Jaipur, under the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Government of Rajasthan, with administrative support from Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS).

What is the official portal for Rajasthan NEET UG 2026 counselling?

The Board uses a year-tagged portal — the 2025 cycle ran on rajugneet2025.com / .org, so the 2026 portal is expected to go live as rajugneet2026.com / .org closer to registration. Always cross-check the live URL via the Board notice on SMS Medical College, Jaipur, before depositing any fee.

When does Rajasthan NEET UG 2026 counselling start?

The 2026 schedule is yet to be officially notified. Based on the 2025 pattern and the Re-NEET 2026 result timeline (expected late July 2026), Round 1 registration is expected to open in mid-September 2026, with seat allotment around early October 2026 (TBA).

What documents are required for Rajasthan NEET UG 2026 counselling?

The core documents are: NEET UG 2026 scorecard and admit card, allotment letter, Class 10 and 12 marksheets, Rajasthan domicile / bona fide certificate, photo ID (Aadhaar / PAN / Voter ID), category certificate (SC / ST / OBC-NCL / EWS) if applicable, PwBD certificate from an NMC-designated board if applicable, four passport-size photographs, and bond / bank-guarantee proforma if specified for the allotted college.

Who is eligible for Rajasthan NEET UG 2026 counselling?

Indian citizens who hold a Rajasthan domicile certificate, have qualified NEET UG 2026 (Re-NEET on 21 June 2026), are at least 17 years old by 31 December 2026, and have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology, and English are eligible. Minimum aggregate is 50% for UR / EWS, 40% for SC / ST / OBC, 45% for UR-PwBD, and 40% for reserved-PwBD candidates.

How are seats allocated in Rajasthan NEET UG 2026 counselling?

Seats are allotted on the basis of NEET UG 2026 score, state merit rank, category, and the candidate's locked choices in the choice-filling form. The Board publishes the seat matrix before each round; allotment is fully online.

What is the counselling fee for Rajasthan NEET UG?

The 2025 fee was INR 2,500 for General / OBC / EWS and INR 1,500 for SC / ST / ST-STA. The 2026 fee will be confirmed in the Board's Information Brochure.

How many MBBS and BDS seats are available in Rajasthan?

The NMC MBBS Seat Matrix (16 Oct 2025) records ~6,279 MBBS seats across 43 NMC-recognised medical colleges in Rajasthan. Of these, 15% goes to the MCC All India Quota and the balance is filled through the state Board for the state-quota MBBS pool. Around 1,300+ BDS seats across 15 dental colleges feed into the state-quota BDS pool.

Is Rajasthan NEET UG counselling conducted in multiple rounds?

Yes — the Board runs Round 1, Round 2, a mop-up round, and a stray-vacancy round, typically over September to December 2026 (Expected). Vacant seats after each round are carried forward to the next round.

Can I change my college or course preferences after submitting?

Choices are editable only until the choice-filling deadline of that round. Once you click 'Final Lock & Submit', preferences cannot be changed for that round, but you can re-fill choices in subsequent rounds if your seat is not allotted or upgraded.

What happens if I miss the registration deadline for a round?

Missing a round's deadline means you cannot participate in that round's allotment. You can register fresh for the next round (Round 2 / Mop-up / Stray Vacancy) if eligible, as long as registration is open and seats are available.

How can I check my seat allotment result in Rajasthan NEET UG 2026?

Seat allotment results are published on the Board portal (rajugneet2026.com / .org once live). Log in with your registration credentials to view the allotted college, course, and reporting window.

What special provisions exist for reserved-category candidates?

SC / ST / OBC-NCL / EWS / PwBD candidates need to upload valid category certificates (in the prescribed Rajasthan format) at registration. Reservation percentages follow the Rajasthan state matrix, with central reservations (e.g. EWS, PwBD horizontal reservation) applied as per RPWD 2016 / NMC norms.

Where do I find official Rajasthan NEET UG 2026 updates?

The Board publishes notifications on the year-tagged official portal (rajugneet2026.com / .org when notified) and via notices issued by SMS Medical College, Jaipur. RUHS (ruhsraj.org) also re-publishes selected notifications.
