Eligibility Criteria For Karnataka NEET UG Counselling 2024
To participate in Karnataka NEET UG Counselling 2024, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Indian Citizenship:
The candidate has to be an Indian citizen to be eligible for Karnataka Medical Counselling 2024.
NEET Qualification:
The candidate must have qualified for NEET 2024.
Eligibility for Government Seats:
Schooling in Karnataka:
The candidate should have completed Class 10 and Class 12 from schools in Karnataka and seven years of study at a government school in Karnataka.
Parental Education in Karnataka:
If the candidate studied Class 11 and 12 in Karnataka, at least one parent must have studied for seven years at an institute in Karnataka.
Kannada/Tulu/Kodava Speakers:
The candidate or a parent must speak Kannada, Tulu, or Kodava and be a Karnataka domicile.

Step 2: Release of KEA 2024 Seat Matrix
The seat matrix will be available for download category-wise, covering different quotas such as NRI, Private, Government Special category, Hyd-Kar, and General quotas for both MBBS and Dental programs.
Step 4: Choice filling
Candidates must choose their preferences for college and course in this step.
Step 6: Seat allotment
Based on the choices filed by the candidates, reservation criteria, seat matrix and NEET 2024 rank and score, students will be allocated a specific college. Seat allotment will be done in the following phases:
Round 1
After Round 1, students will have to update their status in the form of 4 choices. We have mentioned this in detail below.
After the release of Round 1 results, students will have to update their status based on the following choices:
Choice 1: Satisfied with allotted seat, not willing to participate in Round 2.
Choice 2: Satisfied with the allotted seat but want to participate in the next round.
Choice 3: Not Satisfied with the seat allotted and willing to participate in round 2.
Choice 4: Not satisfied and not willing to participate in further rounds.
If you select choice 1, you will need to pay the college fees and download the admission order.
If you select choice 2, you will have to pay the tuition fee but will not be able to download the admission order.
If you fill out choice 3, you don’t have to pay the fees and can directly participate in further rounds of the Karnataka NEET UG Counselling Process.

Eligible students can participate in further rounds of the Karnataka NEET UG Counselling Process.

Mop Up Round
Mop-up round is a counselling round in which the seats that were left vacant are filled after all levels of counselling are completed.
