Eligibility Criteria for Aikyashree Scholarship
Pre-matric Scholarship and Post-matric Scholarship
- The applicant needs to be a West Bengal citizen.
- Enrolling in an educational institution approved by the Central Government, the University of the State, the Board of Education, or the Council is necessary.
- Students must score at least 50% of the percentile or an equivalent grade in the last exam.
- A family's annual income should be above Rs. 2 lakh.
- Pre-matric and post-matric scholarships are only available to students attending institutions in West Bengal.
Merit-cum-Means Scholarship.
- The candidate needs to be a West Bengal citizen.
- They are needed to enroll in a professional or technical course.
- It is needed to have received a minimum of 50% in the most recent Higher Secondary/Graduation exam.
- The student's family income should be at most Rs. 2.5 lakh per year.
- The West Bengal Minorities Development & Finance Corporation may notify inhabitants of the following institutions that are not in the state of West Bengal but are offering education there: such students may also apply.

How to Apply for Aikyashree Scholarship 2024
To complete the Aikyashree application procedure, adhere to the stages listed below:
Steps to Apply
Step 1: Enrollment of Students
- Open the Aikyashree Scholarship portal https://wbmdfcscholarship.in/.
- Select New Registration.
- Choose the District of your Institute.
- Fill out the registration form with your name, bank account number, mobile number, email address, district, and guardian's name.
- To continue, press the "Submit" button.
Step 2: Eligibility
- Complete the online form to determine your eligibility for the program, providing information about your current school, course or class name, last exam completed, board name, year of previous exam passing, percentage of marks received, annual family income, and email address.
- Carefully review the information and select Submit & Proceed.
Step 3: Finishing the Registration
- A provisional User ID shall be generated for you immediately, a mandatory requirement to access the platform and avail of the services.
- Students will receive an email ID and the password at the given email address.
Step 4: Login as a student
- To access the Student Login page, enter the User ID and Password.
- Type in these particulars: Academic Data, Personal detail, Banking Information
- Click "Submit" after changing the password (Required for increased security).
Step 5: Completed Submission
- Complete the section on Basic Information.
- Complete the Academic Information field.
- Select Submit and Proceed.
- Finish filling out the bank account information and make sure it is correct.
- Select the "Pre-View" tab and review all the information provided.
- Select "Final Submit" from the drop-down menu.
Final Step: Verification and Printing
- Examine each detail.
- Print a copy of the application form if you know the data is accurate.
- Send the application form to the appropriate institute with a copy of your bank passbook, which has your IFSC code and bank account number.
How to Apply for the Renewal of Scholarship
- Go to the West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (WBMDFC Scholarship) official website.
- Select the "Aikyashree Scholarship" menu item.
- Choose the button labeled "Renew Application.
- Type in your birthdate and application ID.
- Your mobile number will receive an OTP. Enter it to proceed.
- Verify that your personal information is accurate.
- You can amend your bank account details if they have changed.
- Press the "Submit" button.

How to Track Your Application Status - Process
- Visit the official WBMDFC website
- Click on Track Application tab in the website menu bar
- Next step is to enter your application ID, select the district and enter your date of birth
- Type in the captcha code displayed
- Click the Submit button to complete the process
Aikyashree Scholarship Details
Students can apply for five government scholarship programs through the Aikyashree Scholarship Portal 2024, run by West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation.
Among these plans are:
- Pre-matriculated Scholarship in West Bengal : Class 9 and Class 10 students are eligible to apply for this Scholarship. The government gives monthly scholarships ranging from Rs. 150 to Rs. 750 to selected students. Selected students also qualify for an additional Adhoc Reward of up to Rs. 1000 annually.
- Post-Matric Scholarship for WB : Students of classes 11, 12, Graduation, and Post-Graduation can apply for this grant. It financially supports OBC, SC, and ST students pursuing post-secondary or post-matric schooling. The monthly scholarship amounts vary from 1600 to 1200 rupees.
- West Bengal's Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship : This grant is only available to female students who have finished their Class 12 education through any West Bengal board. It provides financial assistance to female West Bengali university students pursuing undergraduate degrees in basic science, engineering, or medicine. The monthly award for this Scholarship is Rs. 3,000, and the annual book grant is Rs. 2000.
- The SVMCM or Swamy Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship : There are two criteria for this Scholarship: merit and means. Applications are open to students in Class 11 through PhD programs. Depending on their academic performance and financial situation, minority students may be eligible for financial aid of up to Rs. 8,000 per month.
- West Bengal Hindi Scholarship Scheme : This fellowship, intended to aid students studying Hindi in non-Hindi-speaking areas such as West Bengal, is open to applicants enrolled in post-secondary, undergraduate, higher secondary, and research-level programs M.Phil., Ph.D., and M.Lit. For chosen students, monthly stipend payments range from Rs. 300 to Rs. 1000.
