BHMS Course Admission Process

Here is a step by step process for securing admission in BHMS course: 

1. Check Eligibility

Candidates must have completed their 10+2 from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as core subjects.

2. Entrance Exam

Prepare and appear for a BHMS entrance exam like NEET at the specified centre and time. 

3. Await your Results

The conducting body declares the results within a specified time frame. Check your results.  

4. Appear for Counselling Process

Candidates who qualify are eligible to appear for the counselling process. Counselling is conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) for the All India Quota seats. 15% of seats reserved under the All India Quota, 85% under the state quota for AYUSH courses.

  3. Seat allotment is based on merit, preferences, and availability of seats.

Eligibility for Admission to BHMS Course

Eligibility Criteria Description
Academic Qualification Candidates must have completed their 10+2 from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as core subjects.
Age Criteria Candidates must be at least 17 years of age.
NEET Qualification Admission to BHMS courses is only possible through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). It is mandatory for candidates to appear for the NEET exam and get a decent qualifying score.
Eligibility for Pharmacy or Allied Sciences Graduates Candidates with a pharmacy or allied sciences diploma with a minimum of 50% marks are also eligible for BHMS admission.
Eligibility for students with PCM in 12th Candidates who have completed their 10+2 with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) as core subjects are also eligible for admission to BHMS. Still, they may have to study additional subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry during the course, which might not be familiar to them.
Eligibility for B.Sc Graduates Candidates who have completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are also eligible for admission to BHMS.
Eligibility for B.Pharma Graduates Candidates who have completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) degree with a minimum of 50% marks are also eligible for admission to BHMS.
Eligibility for BUMS Graduates Candidates who have completed a Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) degree with a minimum of 50% marks are also eligible for admission to BHMS.
Eligibility for BAMS Graduates Candidates who have completed a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) degree with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible for BHMS admission.
