Pharm D Eligibility

  • Candidates must have completed their 10+2 education from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. 
  • The science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects is mandatory.
  • Candidates who have completed their D.Pharm course with 40% in aggregate are also eligible to study for the Pharm D course.
  • Some colleges or universities have different eligibility criteria for admission to the Pharm D course. They may have a common entrance test for admission, such as the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT), or the State-level entrance exam.

Note: The admission to the majority of the Pharm D courses is done mainly on the basis of entrance examination, while some colleges also consider the marks obtained in 12th or equivalent exams for admission.

Admission

The Pharm D admission process involves several steps, including registration, application, document submission, entrance examination, and counseling or group discussion/personal interview (GD/PI).Here are the steps involved in the Pharm D admission process:

  1. Registration: The registration form is released on the official websites of the respective colleges or universities. Candidates are required to register themselves and fill in the application details.

  4. Entrance Examination: To secure admission in the program, candidates must clear national-level or university-level entrance exams, such as TS EAMCET, AP EAMCET, GPAT, AP PGECET, KCET, and NEET. The entrance examination is generally conducted between May and June of each year.
  5. Counseling or GD/PI: Some colleges conduct counseling or GD/PI for the final selection. After final selection, candidates are required to pay the admission fee and confirm their seat.
