Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS) is a private and deemed-to-be-university located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It was established in 1988 as Saveetha Dental College & Hospital by Dr. N.M. Veeraiyan, who had the ambition to start a model dental college. Since then, the institution has expanded to include nine disciplines of studies, including Dental College, School of Management, School of Law, School of Engineering, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, School of Physiotherapy, School of Nursing, Medical College, and College of Allied Health Sciences.
