The Institute provides an undergraduate MBBS degree program. Additionally, SMVMCH offers M.D. and M.S. postgraduate degree courses.
Applicants for these courses must obtain and complete the form online from the official website or in person at the Institute, and submit it before the deadline.
Candidates also need to apply for the NEET examination and/or CET.
Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital offers MBBS degrees. Students need to pass 10+2 exams with 50% marks in English, Biology, Physics and Chemistry. People under 17 years old cannot apply. Blind, deaf, or mute candidates cannot apply. Admission is based on NEET UG or CET scores. A merit list ranks candidates by exam scores. Selection follows the merit list from entrance exams. Admission is temporary until the CET is approved.
Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital, Pondicherry offers Doctor of Medicine(M.D.) degree in 15 specializations and Master of Surgery(M.S.) degree in 5 specializations at the postgraduate level. People who have passed MBBS from any Medical college that the medical council of India approves are eligible to apply. Candidates should have completed their one year rotating internship after passing the MBBS examination on or before April 30. Candidates must have got themselves registered(Provisional or Permanent) with any Medical Council (State or Central) to be eligible. The selection process depends on the NEET PG entrance examination or CET conducted by the association. The merit list gets prepared for all categories based on candidates scores in NEET PG or CET. Candidates who clear the cut-off score set by the association will get called for the admission process.
