About WBMDFC Scholarship:
The West Bengal Minority Development and Finance Corporation or wbmdfc scholarship, also referred to as the aikyashree scholarship, is regulated by the Minority Affairs and Madrasah Education Department, Government of West Bengal, to promote education among students hailing from religious minority groups within the state of West Bengal.
All grants under this scheme are specifically designed to provide financial assistance and educational empowerment to students from Islam, Christianity, Sikhism, Buddhism, Parsi, and Jainism religions. By offering various scholarships, the aim is to foster educational excellence and boost the overall literacy ratio in the state.
The department strives to go beyond scholarships by embracing a holistic approach to the development of the students. This is ensured through training programs to enhance students' skills and easy loans to secure financial independence for dedicated students. WBMDFC actively contributes to the upliftment of minority communities.
Eligibility Criteria for Scholarship:

Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship Scheme For Minorities |
- Domicile of West Bengal.
- Meritorious minority students.
- Passed out in the current year from recognised institutions affiliated/ accredited to the WBBSE/ WBCHSE/ WBBME/ CBSE/ ISC or university situated in the state of West Bengal.
- Pursuing studies in class XI to Post-graduation level in regular courses, including Diploma (Polytechnic), Diploma in Pharmacy, B.Ed, DLED, etc.
- Studying in the recognised institutes situated in West Bengal.
- Annual Family Income up to Rs.2.5 lakhs (Certificate to be issued by any State/Central Government Officer).
- Minimum marks are 60% for Higher Secondary to Graduation level, 53% for Post-graduation level & Honours subject at Graduation level, and 55% for Graduation Level for engineering students.

Other requirements of the WBMDFC Scholarship:
Apart from the above eligibility requirements, the interested candidates must also meet the following criteria for successfully applying for the West Bengal minority scholarship.
- Linking students’ AADHAAR with their bank account will improve the chances of selection for direct disbursal of the scholarship amount.
- Only one registration can be done with one mobile number.
- Only one registration with one active bank account number can be done.
- The linked bank account must always be active and non-dormant to avoid delays and hassle in receiving the scholarship amount.

Non-eligible students for Scholarship:
The applications for all grants under this scheme are scrutinised thoroughly with the above-cited eligibilities. However, the following students will not be eligible.
- Students pursuing distance education are not eligible to apply.
- Students claiming any other scholarship from any other government cannot apply.
- School-level students who do not have the Bangla Shikhsha ID cannot apply.

Application Process of WBMDFC Scholarship:
Every step leads to another step automatically while applying for the wbmdfcscholarship online through the official website at https://wbmdfcscholarship.in/. A step-wise guide is as under:-
- After visiting the official portal, click on Students’ Area. If you are a first-time applicant, click on Fresh Registration. Previous users can click on Registered Students’ Login.
- Then, you will be led to the page- Select The District Of Your Institute. You will have to tick the district where your institution is located.
- Previous users can log into the portal under the “Student's Login” column by submitting details like User Name, Password, Academic Session, and Captcha.
- However, new registrations will be led to a form. Fill out all details like Domicile State, District, Municipality, Student Name, Gender, DOB, Religion, Phone Number, and other bank account details. Submit all details carefully, as some bank-related information may not be available for correction.
- Click on Submit and Proceed. You must fill in details to ensure your eligibility for the chosen scholarship. Log in using the username or ID and password to track your application.
- Take the printout after reviewing your application and ensuring the submitted details are correct. Submit the filled-in hard copy of the application at your selected institute. The application is to be submitted along with a self-attested copy of the applicant's bank passbook/ jointly with the parents. An income certificate issued by the competent authority will also be required.
